The Blue Room works are drawings inspired by the blueprints Mandala grew up admiring in her father’s architecture studio combined with her mother’s coveted blue and white plates, each holding the weight of time.

Intimate moments were shared amongst these simple things— the steadfast and steady hand drawing every careful line for hours, once by her father and now by her. The sunlit breakfast holding every comfort of a morning moment with her mother, even when the mom she once knew had been long gone.
